Go antiquing or gallery browsing. Golf or simply relax on the beach with a book. Dine out in our many fine restaurants and enjoy native lobsters, steamers and the freshest seafood available anywhere. Whether you enjoy going to the beach, fishing, boating, shopping, hiking at the National Seashore, biking on the Cape Cod Rail Trails, Friday Night band concerts, or nearby golf and tennis; Pleasant Bay Village is ideally located in Chatham, Cape Cod's most lovely and charming town.
Frommer's New England Said...
"Owner Howard Gamsey is a prodigious gardener: Over the past quarter-century, he has transformed what was an ordinary motel into a playful Zen paradise, where a waterfall cascades through a colorful rock garden into a stone-edged pool dotted with lily pads and flashing koi. Actually, he has poured that kind of attention into the entire 6-acre complex. The rooms and cottages, done up in restful pastels, are unusually pleasant, and the breakfast room features antique tables and kilims. In summer, you can order lunch from the grill without having to bestir yourself from the heated pool."

“ANOTHER Perfect Stay at Pleasant Bay Village!”
For us, Pleasant Bay Village continues to be the perfect Cape Cod summer experience. We started our association with this little resort in 1991 when the two of us spent four nights there. As the summers passed, we lengthened our stay and added family members and now, in July 2008, we have just concluded a week's stay at PBV, with our children, grandchildren, and in-laws.
The variety of accommodations perfectly suits the needs of each group of us -- lovely, well-equipped motel rooms, with refrigerator, modern bath and private deck; spacious efficiencies with state-of-the-art kitchens and baths; and large, modern two-bedroom suites, beautifully furnished, complete with modern kitchen, dining room, private deck, and two baths.
The grounds are breathtakingly beautiful, the service is excellent and the management and staff helpful, efficient, and friendly. For us, the centerpiece of each summer's stay is the large, heated swimming pool. Our group spends hours here, swimming and enjoying poolside food service and the adjoining hot tub.
Pleasant Bay Village is in a central position on the Cape and our group, three generations strong, has enjoyed, neighboring beaches, shopping, fine dining, museums, summer theater and concerts and some memorable whale watches.
